For people who can’t access naloxone at the pharmacy or through free local programs, NEXT Naloxone, part of Next Harm Reduction, an online and mail-based harm reduction platform designed to reduce opiate overdose deaths, offers online overdose education and mails free naloxone to people who view a training video and pass a quiz on how to administer the overdose drug.
And there’s an app — NaloxoFind — that lets Good Samaritans and bystanders carrying naloxone to register to be contacted by app users who need the drug. In an emergency, the app helps bystanders communicate with registered naloxone carriers within a two-mile radius.
